The frequent use of sanitizers and the repeated hands washing, with the time, dehydrates the skin of your hands. The weakening of the lipids barrier of the skin induces dehydration and an increased probability of unwanted cracks that facilitate the passage of pathogens, such as bacteria and viruses.

To keep clean and hydrated and protected it could be useful to prepare lotions based on:

  • Olive oil, Wild Rose oil, Grapeseeds oil or any other organic oil without additives plus:
  • Hypericum perforatum oil extract, adding essential oils of:
  • Lavender
  • Sage
  • Rosemary
  • Tea Tree

Alcohol 60% adding Aloe Vera gel and essential oils of Thyme and Rosemary.

For one liter:

  • Ethyl Alcohol 96%: 833ml
  • Hydrogen Peroxide 3%: 42ml
  • Glycerine 98%: 15ml
  • Add clean (boiled and cooled) water or distilled water to reach 1 lt and put in one or more bottles.

To the water in a diffuser (the quantity depends on the charatteristics of it) add 1-2 drops of:

  • Sage essential oil
  • Thyme essential oil
  • Lavender essential oil
  • Rosemary essential oil
  • Eucalyptus essential oil

Adding essential oils of Rose or Orange Blossom allows to add soothing properties to the anti-bacterial and antiviral ones.

We want to remind you that every natural product has its properties, and consequently it can have adverse interactions or effects - also when inhaled, especially when assocated with other therapies. For this reason, all users are advised that these are general recommendations. Ask for the support of qualified personnel, especially for all sensitive subjects and under pharmacological therapies.

Those who are interested in having more information, can contact us or can ask their doctor or pharmacist for advice.

We strongly discourage the use of Thyme essential oil in concentrations above 1,5%. It is dangerous to use it on mucous membranes or in direct contact with damaged skin. Don't use during pregnancy.

Red Thyme essential oil inhibits fungal, bacterial and viral infections and it is a circulatory stimulant. A few drops in a diffuser or on a tissue can be inhaled to clear the nose. It helps in fighting viral infections and purifying the air. For its properties, it was used during the First World War as a disinfectant for hospitals and surgical equipment. It has proven to be seven times stronger than carbolic acid, and it protects against a broader spectrum of pathogens; it has a more powerful bacterical power than benzoyl peroxide.
